OBED 101 - Basic Manners
Prerequisites:  None
Open to all dogs, large and small, with no previous formal training
This class is designed for all dogs, older than 10 weeks, who have never had any formal training or need a refresher course in training.  This class covers the
following basic commands:  Sit; Down; Watch Me; Walk on a Leash; Stay; Leave It Alone; Come When Called, Sit for Examination; Stand; and Wait.   Other
subjects covered include collars and leashes, house training, socialization, basic grooming, and veterinary care.  This is a 6-week course.  COST:  $125


OBED 102 - More Basic Manners
Prerequisite:   OBED 101 or permission of instructor
Open to all dogs, large and small
This class will provide more practice and instruction on the behaviors taught in the Basic Manners class.  This class is primarily for dog/handler teams that
have completed the Basic Manners class but feel they need more polish on their exercises before moving on to other, more advanced classes.  COST:  $75


OBED 201 - Beyond Basic Manners
Prerequisite:  OBED 101 or permission of instructor
Open to all dogs, large and small
This class is designed for handler/dog teams that would like to continue their training.  Dogs will continue honing their basic obedience skills and
advanced skills such as stay, more controlled walking, and recalls with distractions.  COST:  $75


OBED 202 - Obedience Refresher
Prerequisite:  OBED 101 or permission of instructor
Open to all dogs, large and small
The dog must have an understanding of basic commands.  This class is intended for dog/handler teams that have not been to formal classes recently and
need "reminding" of training concepts.  Troubleshooting of specific obedience problems will be addressed.  COST:  $75


OBED 203 - Tricks
Prerequisite:  OBED 101 or permission of instructor
Looking for something fun to do with your dog?  Do you want to amaze your family and friends and show off your dog's intelligence?  This class will help you
with methods for training simple tricks.  Once you and your dog learn the basics, you can then proceed to more complex behaviors.  There are many tricks to
choose from so each dog and handler team can choose behaviors that suit their breed and personal interest.  COST:  $75


OBED 204 - Obedience On The Go
Prerequisite:  OBED 101 or permission of instructor
Do you wish your dog was better behaved in public?  You have been practicing your obedience commands at home but when you go out, it seems like Spot
has never heard the word, "Sit" in his entire life.  Obedience On The Go can help you have a dog you can be proud to have accompany you to the store.  This
class takes it "on the road" to various local, dog-friendly locations where the class practices walking, obedience and socialization skills in the public.  The
instructor is available to assist with any training issues or problems as they arise.  COST:  $75*
Once you take the class, you can come back to any future session for a drop in fee of $5.


OBED 210 - Combination Class
Prerequisite:  OBED 101 or permission of instructor
This class is designed for all dogs to continue their training.  This advanced course uses many different dog sports and training disciplines to keep training
fun and interesting for both the dog and handler.  Students help shape the direction of training with the opportunity to suggest exercises each week.  COST:  
$75


OBED 301 - Beginner  Novice Competitive Obedience I
Prerequisite:  OBED 202 or permission of instructor
Open to all dogs, large and small, who are interested in beginning a competitive obedience career.  Beginner Novice Obedience is an AKC optional titling
event that is offered at some obedience trials.  All exercises will be scored as in the Novice Class, except the dogs will perform all exercises on leash, which
should be 6 feet in length.  Exercises included in this optional titling class are:  Heel on Leash; Figure Eight; Sit for Examination; Sit Stay; and Recall.  This
class will concentrate on Heeling; Sit for Examination and Sit Stay.  COST:  $75


OBED 302 -  Beginner Novice Competitive Obedience II
Prerequisite:  OBED 301
Open to all dogs, large and small, who are interested in beginning a competitive obedience career.  Beginner Novice Obedience is an AKC optional titling
event that is offered at some obedience trials.  All exercises will be scored as in the Novice Class, except the dogs will perform all exercises on leash, which
should be 6 feet in length.  Exercises included in this optional titling class are:  Heel on Leash; Figure Eight; Sit for Examination; Sit Stay; and Recall.  This
class will concentrate on more Heeling; Figure Eight, Recall; Ring Procedure; and Entering a Trial.  COST:  $75


OBED 305 - Training Games
Prerequisite:  OBED 201 or permission of instructor
Everyone gets bored with the same old, dull routine.  Liven up your work sessions and make it more fun for you and your dog!  Training Games are short
exercises that help build the bond between you and your dog.  They make training more complex exercises simpler by teaching the parts separately in a fun
way.  This class is for anyone who wants to add to their training skills, regardless of your training goals.  These skills are applicable to pet owners and
competitive trainers, alike.  COST:  $75


OBED 401 -  Heeling Mini Session
Prerequisite:  OBED 101 or comparable training class
Open to all dogs, large and small, who need a refresher or more training on heeling and walking on a loose leash.  This is a 1-hour session that concentrates
on heeling games, exercises and methods for keeping your dog with you while walking on a leash.  COST:  $20


OBED 402 -  Recall Mini Session
Prerequisite:  OBED 101 or comparable training class
Open to all dogs, large and small, who need a refresher or more training on recalls (coming when called).  This is a 1-hour session that concentrates on
recall games, exercises (including distractions) and methods for getting your dog to come to you when you call.  COST:  $20


OBED 403 -  Beginner Novice Mini Session
Prerequisite:  OBED 101 or comparable training class
Open to all handler/dog teams that are interested in starting their competitive traditional obedience career.  Beginning Novice is an optional titling event
that is offered at most AKC obedience trials.  All exercises are performed on a 6' leash with the exception of the sit-stay and recall.  This two-hour mini
session will cover all the exercises required in this class as well as ring procedure, finding trials, and completing entry forms.  The class is held in one
two-hour session.  
A 6' leash is required.  COST:  $40


OBED 404 -  Attention and Footwork Mini Session
Prerequisite:  OBED 101 or comparable training class
Open to all dogs, large and small, who would like to have a more focused dog.  The Attention portion of the class will combine stationary and moving
attention exercises.  The footwork portion of the class will teach the handler the necessary footwork for smooth left and right turns, about turns, halts and
starts to heeling.  COST:  $40


OBED 405 -  Obedience Refresher Mini Session
Prerequisite:  OBED 101 or comparable training class
The dog must have an understanding of basic commands.  This 90-minute class is intended for dog/handler teams that have not been to formal classes
recently and need "reminding" of training concepts.  Troubleshooting of specific obedience problems will be addressed.  COST:  $35
GENERAL TRAINING AND COMPETITIVE OBEDIENCE
The Basic Manners class is a 6-week course and starts the first full week of each month on the designated day.
